My feelings on the Immortal Embrace release

Well what can I say? My first novel is releasing in less then three weeks. I am so excited to finally see my goal in front of me, but at the same time I am terrified of failing. I have been keeping track of the hype surrounding the release and it is amazing. In only ten days over 400 people have entered to win a copy of my book on goodreads and over 700 people have added it to their to-read list. My book, that is over 1000 people interested in what I have written. I can't believe it.

In true Charlotte fashion, I want to know everything so I googled my name and the title of my book. I found so many links that had something about me. There's places to purchase my book, and reviews, blogs, and then people talking about Immortal Embrace and how excited they are to read it. I had no clue. Now I start to panic a little, did I really write the best book to my ability, is anyone going to like it? Well here's the thing, I think every author goes through these feelings. What I have concluded is, I sure hope so, but the fact is not everyone will enjoy it. I'm okay with that, because I know I worked so hard and learned so much while writing the Embrace series.

So now with only a few weeks left, you can pre-order your copy and judge for yourself. I really do hope everyone loves it and the characters as much as I do. I can't wait to hear what everyone thinks good or bad...but of course we know it will all be great because I wrote a great story. Lets face it you are only as good as you allow yourself to be, and I allow myself to be great. I hope that all of you allow yourself to be great to and allowing others to have their own opinion of you, or what you do defines them not you.

Well that's it for my nervous rambling and daily boost of positive thinking for the day. I hope that for anyone out there nervous about following your dreams you see that your not alone and that just by doing your best you are a success. And always know that someone out there (me) believes in you.

  1. Don't worry about it, you're gonna do great. Your story is fantastic and people will love it, just like I did.

    Have confidence in your book.

I'll do a post on my blog a couple of days before it comes out promoting it. Gotta spread the word :D

I wish you every success. xxx

  3. Thank you both. I really do have confidence in my book and my ability. This little public panic attack is really just to prove all us writers go through it. I am really excited and can't wait to see the possibilities.
